be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family Friday August 31, 2012 at
Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Sarah was a native of Waresboro, Georgia and had been a resident
of Darien since 1958. She was a member of First Baptist Church of
Darien, a member of the Rainbow Sunday School Class, the kitchen committee,
the bereavement committee and Director of the Ladies WMU.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Tennell M.
Parrish, Sr., and Verdie Wildes Parrish, siblings, Nyoka
Parrish Boyette, Gerald Parrish, Tennell M. Parrish, Jr., and Frank Parrish.
Survivors are her children, Sarah Janell Ginn (Billy) of
Townsend, Kay Owens Drury (Steve) of Darien, Randall Coleman Owens (Mary),
Tennell Rufus “Tim” Owens (Sandy) and Eddie S. Owens all of Darien. She is
survived by three sisters, Idell Parrish Snyder of Parker,Ol., JoAnn Parrish
Wildt of Grafton, Ill., and Janice Parrish Hipchen of St. Simons, & three
brothers, T. J. Parrish of Waverly, Earl Parrish and Lewis Parrish both of
Brunswick. Her grandchildren, Misty Causey (Tommy), Jessica Owens (Shay),
Jason Owens, Daniel Owens (Amanda), Ami Conner (Charlie), Danielle Owens
(Bill), Matthew Owens (Christi) and Chelsea Owens, 14 great grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving
pet companions, Cricket, Bo, Rebel, C.J., Scooter, Maggie & Black Jack.
The family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from
6 to 8 PM Monday, September 3, 2012.
A celebration of Life Services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday September 4, 2012
at First Baptist Church of Darien with Rev. Jack Peeler and Rev.
Earl Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Palmetto Cemetery in
Brunswick.
Active pallbearers will be: Jason Owens, Daniel Owens, Matthew
Owens, Tommy Causey, Shay Rowland, and Bill Anderson. Honorary pallbearers
will be the Rainbow Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Darien.
