Sally Baker Ketcham

The memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Christ Church, Frederica, followed by inurnment at the Columbarium and a reception in the Parish House.

Mrs. Ketcham was born April 26, 1936, to the late Jean and Robert Thorpe Baker, Jr. in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She completed two years at Michigan Tech (now Lake Superior State University) and two years at Michigan State University. She has lived on Saint Simons Island for the past 20 years, and was actively involved with the community. Sally volunteered at the Manna House for 15 years and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Christ Church, Frederica. She was an avid reader and kept well informed on current events. She loved playing piano and listening to classical and other types of music. She also enjoyed bird watching and traveling around the world.

Mrs. Ketcham is survived by her husband David Ketcham of St. Simons Island; her son Michael Ketcham (Lori) of Vienna, VA; and daughters Barbara Ketcham Cuson (Mark) of Stockbridge, GA, and Elizabeth Ketcham Bartlett (Andrew) of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by grandchildren Michelle Ketcham; Katelyn, Thomas, and Alyssa Cuson, and Samantha and Avery Bartlett; two brothers John P. Baker and Robert T. Baker, III; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her sister Ann Baker Carson.
