

Mrs. Cauley was born September 8, 1921 in Paola, Florida the daughter of the late Jack N. Henderson, the late Robert H. Walling Sr. and the late Mary Lee Walling. She moved to Brunswick as a young child where she attended and graduated from Glynn Academy. She was the wife of the late Sammie F. Cauley Sr. Mrs. Cauley was a retired Bookkeeper in the medical profession. She enjoyed a long career working at the office of Doctor Wilson, Smith and Mayo. She also worked at the office of Doctor Brown and Wheeler. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brunswick where she attended the Faith Hope Sunday School Class. She was also a past member of the Brunswick Exchangettes.
Mrs. Cauley was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. Walling Sr. and Mary Lee Walling and her biological father, Jack N. Henderson; her husband, Sammie Focial Cauley Sr.; a son Sammie Cauley Jr.; one brother, Robert Harold Walling Jr; two sisters, Athaline Henderson and Barbara McIntyre. She is survived by her two daughters, Meredith Crews (Bobby) of Brunswick, GA and Alice C. Hightower of Raleigh, NC; Daughter-in-law, Beth C. Captino (Tony) of Griffin, GA; a sister, Joan W. Gray (Hal) of Bowie, MD; one sister-in-law, Millie Walling of Atlanta; five granddaughters, Pamela Parker (Tom), Lorie Massey (Alan), Karen C. Barfield (Webster), Carol C. Dunn, and Susan Wicker (David); six grandsons, Slade Rowland (Stephanie), Keith Hightower, Brett Hightower (Mary), Kevin Cauley (Raina), Rob Crews, and Macky Crews (Erin). She was blessed to have twenty-one great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Mrs. Cauley loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also treasured each moment spent with her grandchildren. She was a vivacious homemaker and always made sure everything was properly placed. She was always devoted to reading the scripture daily from her Holy Bible. Mrs. Cauley enjoyed Ballroom Dancing. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
The family will receive friends during the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 Pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor her life will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia. The Reverend Jim Crandall will officiate the service.
Honorary Pallbearers during the service will be the members of Faith Hope Sunday School Class; the past employees of Dr. Wilson, Smith, and Mayo; Dr. Brown and Wheeler and employees; the Urbana Lunch Group. Also, Mary Ann Hulsey, Jim and Wanda Jordan, Eileen Dowdy, Martha Fiveash, Mike Boatright, Trisha Rushlow, Debbie Boatright, Warren Mann, Howard Mann, Elizabeth Lang, Raymond Mock, and Greg Yancey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Heartland Hospice or the Home Made Ministry at First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia.
