Robin Kay Skiner, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away on June 10th, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones in Brunswick, Ga. She was born on January 28th, 1957, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Ralph Hermit Mashburn and Joan Frances Mashburn. She was, also, preceded in death by her brother, , Lewie Mashburn.
Robin will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of 35 years, Robert “Bob” Skiner; her loving children Dominic Mashburn and his wife, Mande, Brandy Mitchell and her husband Kenny, her nine Grandchildren Megan, Lauren, Tyler, Shawn, Alex, Kayla, Corbin, TJ and Abie, her five great-grandchildren Lucy, Elaina, Ryu, Caroline and Cameron, her brother Bobby Mashburn and sister Amy Smith as well as the many people she touched with her warm smiles and bubbly personality.
Robin was a former residential, commercial and industrial painter but in the years before her retirement, she worked with the Jekyll Island Club charming customers with her bubbly personality and easy smiles. Ever the busy-bee, in her off hours, she could often be found working in her yard tending her flower beds, chatting up the neighbors, leaving goodies for the mailmen, walking on the beach, playing monopoly and rummy with her family or finding her next good deal at yard sales and local thrift stores.
While there were many things that Robin liked to do and she wore many hats throughout the years, her family was always the most important thing in the world to her, bar none. She treasured her husband and children but especially loved her role as Memaw. She had a vivacious personality and was a light in this world, always greeting everyone with a smile and never knowing a stranger.
Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday June 22nd 2024, from 3-5pm at the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, Ga.
