Rene Villela, loving dedicated husband and father, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the age of 64. Born in El Paso, Texas on September 24, 1960, he will be remembered as a hardworking, patriotic and Godly man. He will be missed by his wife, Diana Villela, and children, Jessica Villela-Clark, Christina Villela, Victoria Villela, Alicia Villela-Minnis & Brett Minnis, and Daniel & Summer Villela, as, well as his nine grandchildren & other family members.
Rene served in the United Sates Army for six years, after that time he continued to serve his country as a civil servant working with Border Patrol, Customs Border Protection and Immigration Custom Enforcement. Upon retirement, he spent his days with his wife, children & grandchildren. He often took his grandchildren out to draw with chalk on the driveway, enjoyed chasing after them on their scooters, and traveling to amusement parks. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and holidays, perfecting his grilling and smoking techniques throughout the years.
His family will continue to hold onto their memories of his love of running, game nights, family vacations, as well as the lessons that he was passionate about, for comfort. Often sharing his faith, stories of family togetherness, love of country and the importance of being diligent, compassionate and hard working. He is survived by his wife Diana; children, Jessica, Christina, Victoria, Alica and Daniel; grandchildren, Chelsea, Blake, Chandler, Dominic, Dallas, Channing, Harley, Bella and Gabby; siblings, Gloria, Jaime, Hilda, Rosario, Yolanda and Margie.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Fernando & Esperanza; siblings, Estrella, Francisco, Fernando; daughter, Angelica; granddaughter; Lela.
While the family is heart broken by this unexpected loss, they find comfort in knowing that he has went to be with his heavenly father. 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith"
