Pauline was a member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick, the Marshes of Glynn Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Woman’s Club of Brunswick. She was a Life Member of the Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered in the gift shop for 25 years.
A native of Nahunta, Georgia, Pauline was born March 18, 1925. She was one of six children born to Rachel and William Morgan. She moved to Brunswick as a teenager and was hired by Hercules, where she worked for eight years. In 1949 she married William T. Carson. They were the parents of three children, who all graduated from Glynn Academy, in the classes of 1969, 1971, and 1977.
Pauline was predeceased in death by her husband, William T. Carson, her son, Rev. J. Eben Carson and her daughter, Willeen Carson Burke.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Glenn Thomas Carson, a brother, Calvin Morgan, a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Morgan, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a large extended family and the many friends she had throughout the Golden Isles.
The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave., in Brunswick, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Thomas Carson officiating. Burial will follow with a funeral cortege to Palmetto Cemetery, 3412 Ross Rd., in Brunswick.
The family has requested that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to the Building Fund, C/O First Baptist Church, 1131 Union Street St., Brunswick GA. 31520
