Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Evie Pickering, and her daughter, Margaret (Polly) Millard Dean.
She is survived by her children, Lee (George) Moscarino, Cleveland, OH, Susan (Will) Ferguson, Knoxville, TN, and Charles (Dana) Millard, Forest, VA., 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and her beloved dogs, Piper and Jackson.
She worked as the hospital chaplain at Ft. Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, and served at the Church of the Ascension in Knoxville and Christ Church, St. Simons Island, GA.
She graduated from Eckerd College, and from seminary at The University of the South. She was also a graduate of the Shalem Institute in Washington, D.C.
Nancy was proud of her almost 50 years as a friend of Bill W, being a Daughter of the American Revolution, and her children and their families. She loved football, flowers, friends, and laughter. She was passionate about many things, including reading and traveling. She was a lifelong learner. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by people from all the different seasons of her life.
There will be a private celebration of her life in St. Simons Island, GA.
