Marjorie Johnson Flowers, 87, of St. Simons Island, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 2, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2 pm in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Travis Thrower and Kellen Lariscy officiating. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park with Charles Atkins, Johnny Blackerby, Levon Drew, John Lane, Brad Overstreet, Greg Yancey, and Matt Zangla serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her Frederica Academy friends and family.
Born June 28, 1937 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Emmett Arthur and Luna Josephine S. Johnson, she was a graduate of the Glynn Academy Class of 1955. Mrs. Flowers was the former Business Manager for Frederica Academy and was entrusted by the Board of Trustees to be the interim Head of School on multiple occasions. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family and making memories with friends traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Paul Flowers of St. Simons Island, a son Andy Flowers (Tim Robinson) of Warner Robins, GA, grandchildren, Lauren Flowers and Claire Healy (Daniel), and one great grandchild. Stella Jane Healy.
