Marifrank Grier Sutton

Marifrank G. Sutton, 92, of St. Simons Island, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Magnolia Manor on St. Simons Island. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Marty Thompson, Michael Sutton, Jerry Harvey, Brandon Dubberly, Glen Stone and Nick Thompson serving as pallbearers.

Born March 20, 1918 in Laurens County, Georgia to the late Frank and Alma Scarborough Grier she was a former catalog manger with J.C. Penney Company. She had resided in Macon and Carrolton before moving to Glynn County in 1958. She was Past Worthy Matron of OES Neptune Chapter and was a member of Glyndale Baptist Church. She enjoyed travel and spending time with grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Vester Sutton, a daughter, Annette Milburn, a grandson, Joe Milburn, and a sister, Martha Taylor.

Survivors include two sons, Buddy Sutton and wife Anna of Yulee, FL, Mike Sutton and wife Lois of St. Simons Island, a daughter, Linda Murtagh of Brunswick, seven grandchildren, Slade Sutton, Tracy Sutton, Michael Sutton, Jes Sutton, Lynn Thompson, Scott Milburn and Sherri Harris, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild and a son in law, Al Milburn of Brandon, MS.
