Lynette was born March 27, 1949, in Brunswick, the daughter of the late Bob and Patricia Miller. Lynette graduated from Glynn Academy High School and Brunswick Junior College. She was married to her husband, the late George Rivers, for 43 years. They loved Georgia Tech football, traveling, boat rides on Lake Oconee, and she later enjoyed riding her golf cart around Peachtree City with her granddaughters.
Lynette loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son and his wife, Brian and Anna Rivers; granddaughters, Sara and Abby; sister, Dicky Lipthratt and brother, Bobby Miller.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 23, 11AM at Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, www.edomillerandsons.com, 912-265-3636, will handle arrangements.
A celebration of Lynette’s life will be held later in Senoia, GA.
