Linda Jeanne Kicklighter Hope “Nana” of Brunswick, Georgia passed away peacefully August 16th, 2017 at the age of seventy. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Linda was born in McKees Port, Pennsylvania, on December 27th, 1946 to Arnold H. Kicklighter and Earla M. Kicklighter. Linda was married to the love of her life Robert Joseph Hope on August 4th, 1965, which was also Robert’s birthday. Throughout her 45 years of marriage, she had two children, Robert Todd Hope (Cammie Hope) and Michelle Hope Fitzgerald (Noah Fitzgerald). She had three grandchildren whom she loved more than anything, Robert Todd Hope Jr, Megan Elizabeth Hope, and Tyler Allen Fitzgerald along with many nieces and nephews
She was survived by her brothers: David Kicklighter, Paul Kicklighter, and James Kicklighter. She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Earla, husband Robert, brother Chuck Kicklighter and sister Teresa Kicklighter Jumper. She was a Christian and a member of Brunswick Primitive Baptist Church.
Linda was a graduate of Glynn Academy and went on to receive her Associates of Science in Nursing from Brunswick Junior College followed by a successful nursing career at the South East Georgia Health System and ABC Home Health.
Her favorite days were spent sitting on her wrap around porch watching the birds with her beloved Yorkie-poo Jac Hope, her great-grand dog Bayker Hope, and her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed many years with her family spent on the Satilla River at the cabin her husband built, which became her second home where she watched her children and grandchildren grow up.
She was the most loving and inviting Nana that will be missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her in this life. The service will be held at Edo Miller Funeral Home on Sunday August 20th, 2017. Visitation will be at 2pm, with services following at 3pm.
