Linda Joyce Cason

Linda Joyce Cason, 66, of Brunswick, GA passed away Wednesday March 2, 2011 at the Southeast Georgia Health Systems Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be held 1 pm. Saturday March 5, 2011 at the Golden Isles Church of God with pastor Todd Garner and Pastor Ricky Harris officiating. Michael Goodbread, John McGeachy, Ricky Sapp, Jim Wilson, Joseph Schear, Deke Yeargin, and Tony Black will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers with be members of the Golden Isles Church of God Senior Adult Ministry. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday evening March 4, 2011 from 7 pm - 9 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cason was a native of Camden County born August 8, 1944 to the late Burnell Merrell Mize and the late Neill Linker Mize and had been a resident of Glynn County most of her life. Mrs. Cason was a 1962 class graduate of Glynn Academy. She was employed for many years at the Doctors Lab as a Medical Tech, and was a member of the Golden Isles Church of God.

Linda Joyce loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a great cook and a gardener. She was an avid reader and was looking forward to retirement and spending time with her husband Kerry. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Carolyn Goodbread, Shirley Hume, and Boyce Mize.

Survivors include her loving husband Kerry Cason of Brunswick, a brother Jerry Mize and wife Mary Yvonne, a daughter Cheryl Schear and husband Joseph of Guyton GA, a son John Lever and wife Gina of St. Simons Island, a daughter Dawn Marie Yeargin and husband Deke of North Carolina, five grandchildren Taylor and Erin Schear, Georgia and Gracen Yeargin, and Mary Claire Lever, a niece Terry Sapp and a nephew Michael Goodbread.
