Karen was born, July 1, 1966, in Austell, Ga., to the late Eugene Talmadge and Ivella Coleman Sloan. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her twin sister Sharon Sloan and her brother, Kenneth Sloan. Karen graduated from Golden Gate Christian Academy. She then worked many years in the service industry, a CNA, and a business owner; but her favorite job of all was being a mother and nonnie. Karen had a huge heart and helped everyone she came in contact with. She had a positive impact on everyone and a contagious smile. Her love for and faith in God was immeasurable and rubbed off on so many.
Left to cherish Karen's memories are her sons, Allen Cox (Jacy), Dylan Harrison, and Bradley Harrison and her daughter Chelsea Holyfield (Michael) all of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren: Kelbie, Raiden, and Tinlee Cox, Skyler Holyfield, and Braleigh Harrison; two sisters, Janet Robin Sloan and Lorenda Loffredo; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor her life will be held at 1:00 pm October 23, 2021, at United Pentecostal Church (5608 New Jesup Hwy, Brunswick, GA 31523) with Rev. Danny Webster and Bradley Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Satilla Cemetery, Hortense, GA.
