Judy Carol Rich Lopez-Reyes, AKA Miss Judy/Momma Judy, Born August 14th, 1961, died on Friday July 29,2022 at her place of residence in Brunswick, GA to be with her true love, Orlando Lopez-Reyes, whom she missed dearly since his own departure from our world in 2004. She is resting at Edo Miller Funeral Home and will be cremated on Saturday August 6th, 2022. Her cremains will be scattered between a family cemetery in Ortona, Florida and Sombrero Reef in the Florida Keys in accordance to her wishes.
Judy grew up in South Florida and the Florida Keys. Her latest place of employment was at the Waffle House on Venture Drive, here in Brunswick, where she touched anyone who crossed her path. To her, every one of her customers were angels and left with a, "Have a blessed day," no matter what she was going through. You simply couldn't forget Miss Judy. Judy was one of the toughest, sweetest, selfless women you could ever meet, always wanting to provide for her two boys and anyone who she loved and cared for, and even those whom she didn't. She always tried to pay everything forward, and help anyone who needed it. She wouldn't hold a grudge. Quite unique in every way, a unicorn for sure, a little rebel in the beginning, but in the end, Judy was that kind hearted, lil ol lady who stayed close to God, talked to him through prayer throughout the day and before every meal, who'd pick up a random hitchhiker and take them to where they were going while on her way to work. When times were tough she still had to donate to the ASPCA just because she had that little bit extra she wanted to give away for a better cause. Judy's passions were loving all her people, her "angels," gardening, the love for flowers, birds, sea turtles especially, and all other animals. Judy loved the ocean and everything it had to offer.
She would not want anyone to be sad for her, she'd only want a celebration of her life, and in making it as far as she did. She was always most grateful in all aspects of life, no matter her ailments.
Judy Carol Rich Lopez-Reyes is survived by: her two sons, Jonathan Leopold Lopez-Reyes/ Alysia Cayetano and Orlando Joseph Cook Lopez-Reyes; her two sisters Helen Lorraine Johnston/ Tim Johnston and Sopia Alesandra Kelly; her brother, Larry Wayne Rich; nephews Jose Lorraine Franco, Anthony Rojas/ Karol Rojas, Jayden Rojas, Mike Lopez, and David Lopez; nieces, Heather Lee Jones, Jenny Rojas, Chrissy Mason, Ashley Rojas, and so many more. She will truly be missed, never forgotten, fly high, swim low Momma Deer!
Anyone wanting to donate to Judy's passing and celebration of life should call and donate to the Edo Miller & Son's Funeral Home, Brunswick Ga 1(912) 265-3636, if you'd rather pay it forward to another cause, she'd appreciate a donation to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center in her honor. Do something kind for someone when you can in remembrance of someone you've known and who's passed.
