Juanita Strickland Brown

Juanita Strickland Brown, 87, formerly of Brunswick, departed this life Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Buena Vista, Georgia. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Palmetto Cemetery.

Born May 27, 1936 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Cecil and Eloise Strickland, she worked as a hostess with Sea Island. She also worked at Holiday Inn as a switchboard operator, and the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department. Mrs. Brown loved flowers, and she never met a stranger. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Royce Brown, and two grandchildren, Andrea Ellerbee, and David Ash, two sister, Janet Henderson and Genelle Nichols, and two brothers, Ralph Strickland and CH Strickland.

Survivors include her children, Karen Mashburn and Al of Gig Harbor, WA, Andrew Tenczar, III of Gettysburg, PA, Angela Hart and Michael Alex of Clayton, NC, five grandchildren, Erin Mercer, Shannon Tenczar, and Janet Toney, six great grandchildren, Joey Ellerbee, Angie Ellerbee, James Ellerbee, Alexis Toney, Katrina Gibbons and Bodhi Mercer, many nieces and nephews.
