Joseph Hoke White, Jr., 75, of Brunswick, formerly of Douglas, departed his life Sunday, February 28, 2021 at SGHS in Brunswick. A memorial service will be conducted at 3pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Douglas, GA.
Born March 3, 1945 in Palatka, FL, to the late Joseph Hoke White, Sr., and Mary S. White, he was a retired Chief Deputy Sherriff having worked for The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, and the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. White also worked for South Georgia College and had over 40 years in law enforcement experience. He enjoyed horse riding, roping, and spending time with his horse family. He was also an avid hunter and member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Douglas, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his son, Tim White and wife Lea of Brunswick, a grandson, Justin A. White and wife April, and a great grandchild, Landon White.
