Jimmy Harness

Jim Harness, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2015, at the Senior Care Center, Brunswick, GA. He was born in Dyersburg, TN., but grew up in Helena, AR. Later he lived in Atlanta, GA. and most recently, St. Simons Island, GA. His parents were Jane and Earnest Harness and he had seven siblings. He loved the simple life of his early years and lived his life caring for people. He was a professional athlete, teacher, and a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Jim leaves behind Pam, his wife of 41 years, daughter Christine Glover, son-in-law Hanh, grandchildren Ava and Charlotte, and many nieces and nephews. A family memorial will be held on Saturday with Dr. Felix Haynes officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at the Senior Care Center and Shetoria Jaudon for their dedication in helping Jim in his final years.
