Jean Overby Carter,71, of Brunswick, Ga., passed away Monday May9, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Carter had been a resident of Glynn County fpr many years. She was born in Savannah, Georgia on June 15, 1944, to the late Enoch Marvin Overby, Jr. and the late Margaret Evelyn Ellis.
Mrs. Carter was a homemaker, and attended The Chapel in Brunswick, Ga/ She leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Mrs. Carter parents she is preceded by David Andrew Carter.
Survivors include her son Michael David Carter of Brunswick, Ga; two brothers Enoch Marvin Overby, III and wife Jean of Calhoun, Ga., and Dan Overby of Durham N.C; Mrs. Carter is also survived by one niece, two nephews, and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at Taylors United Methodist Church, with Mr. Drew Thompson officiating.
