Janet was the daughter of the late M.T. and Myra Savage of McAlester, Oklahoma and was a 1951 graduate of McAlester High School. She attended the University of Oklahoma before furthering her education at Brunswick Junior College where she obtained her Accounting Associate’s degree. She was a loving wife and partner to her husband, Charles, and a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Janet was a member of Christ Church Frederica, ECW and Altar Guild. She enjoyed being a democrat, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and seeing them finally win a world series in 2016, playing bridge and other games, cooking, and the challenge of moving and setting up the family home many times during her life.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Martin Savage and Howard “Hal” Savage. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Charles B. Daniel, Jr. of St. Simons Island; her daughter Nancy Zink of Little Rock, AR; her two sons, William Daniel of Austin, TX and Martin Daniel of St. Simons Island; her sister in law, Nancy Puryear Savage of Rogers, AR; plus 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family has requested that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to Christ Church Frederica or PEO International.
Arrangements are entrusted with Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
