Jane Carol Hannon

Jane Hannon, 84, of Sea Island, departed this life Friday, November 17, 2017. Funeral Mass will be held at 1PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at St. Williams Catholic Church with Msgr. John Kenneally officiating. Interment will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens on St. Simons Island with Tom Hannon, John Hannon, Dan Hannon, Bob Hannon, Will Hannon, Frater Urban Hannon, and Ivey Hannon serving as pallbearers.

Born November 28, 1932 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to the late Hershel and Vesta F. Powell, she was a homemaker and “Mother” to many who knew her. Mrs. Hannon had been a resident of Sea Island since 1984, and was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Hannon, a son, Chris Hannon, and a sister, Geraldine Smotherman.

Survivors include four sons, Tom Hannon of Knoxville, TN, John Hannon and wife Carolyn of Nashville, TN, Dan Hannon and wife Laura of Austin, TX, and Bob Hannon and wife Lloyd of Nashville, TN, eleven grandchildren, Will Hannon, Janie Hannon, Avery Hannon, Frater Urban Hannon, Kristin Hannon, Mary Kate Hannon, Halina Hannon, Caroline Hannon, Megan Hannon, Murray Hannon, and Ivey Hannon, and a sister, Rita Deuchle and husband Ernie of Lawrenceburg, TN.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, November 21, 2017 from 4PM until 6 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Williams Catholic Church. www.edomillerandsons.com
