James Timothy Cook, 58, of Townsend, GA passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016. A native of Lynchburg, VA, Mr. Cook had been a resident of McIntosh County since 1978. Mr. Cook was born February 5, 1957 to Mr. and Mrs. James Cook. He was a graduate of Thomas Stone High School in LaPlata, MD. He also attended Brunswick Junior College and Southern Maryland Community College. Mr. Cook was employed with Darien Shoe Factory until he became disabled. He attended the Church of God in Townsend, GA. Mr. Cook enjoyed Art and Computers. He had completed several beautiful paintings.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Romeo and Garnet Cook and his maternal grandparents Lawrence and Mary Morgan.
He is survived by his parents James Arnet Cook and Shirley Ann Cook of Brunswick, GA; his sister Lesa Canas of Brunswick, GA and his two brothers Terry Cook wife Susan of Orlando, FL and David Cook wife Leslie of Brunswick, GA; his longtime companion Betty English of Townsend, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Art Cyphers officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
