MSgt. Jackson Leonard Sellers Sr.

MSgt Jackson Leonard Sellers, Sr., 69, of Brunswick, departed this life Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at SGHS Glynn. Memorial services will be held at 11AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Brunswick Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Keith Burch officiating.

Born May 11, 1947 in Baxley, Georgia to the late Marion L. and Vera B. Sellers, he was retired from the US Air Force as MSgt and retired from Glynn County Public Works. He had been a resident of Glynn County since 1976, and was a member of Brunswick Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Sellers was an avid fisherman, enjoyed travel and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Shelton, Patricia Sellers, and Sara Pfau.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Bertie Genell Sellers of Brunswick, two sons, Jackson Sellers, Jr. and wife Tammy of Anderson, SC, and Sammy Sellers of Brunswick, three grandchildren, Korey Sellers, Dustin Sellers, and Donaven Sellers, thirteen great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, a sister, Lavern Blanton and husband Wayne of Brunswick, a brother, James Sellers of Baxley, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the church social hall following the memorial service.
