Herbert Miller

Herbert Miller, 74, of Darien, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, October 29, 2010 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Wilfrid Logsdon officiating. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery in Darien, with James M. Griffin, Chris Colson, Clarence Harbin, Kenneth Miller, Lloyd Mobley and Joseph Miller, serving as pallbearers.

Born September 2, 1936 in McIntosh County Georgia to the late James Monroe and Susie Young Miller, he was a retired Insurance Sales Representative with Liberty National Life Insurance Company. He attended Glynn Academy and Benedictine Military School in Savannah. Mr. Miller enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Tyre Miller of Darien, two sons, Michael Miller and wife Myra of Darien, Jimmy Miller of Brunswick, a daughter, Paula Miller Jones of Brunswick, a grandson, Glenn Jones II, and a granddaughter, Madison Jones, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7PM until 9PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
