Henry was born in Tiverton, Rhode Island on February 21, 1935, and had been a longtime resident of St. Simons. Henry worked as a draftsman at Hercules for 40 years. After retirement he traveled to cabin homes in West Virginia and Rhode Island keeping himself busy with his master fix-it skills, numerous projects, and working on his Cadillacs.
He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Dale Johnson, a DoDD teacher in Kaiserslautern, Germany and brother Clifford Johnson of Tiverton, RI as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend Whit Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens on St. Simons.
