George Lawrence Trawick

George Lawrence Trawick, 83, of Brunswick, departed this life Monday, November 13, 2017 at SGHS Glynn. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Friday, November 17, 2017 at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors, Rev. Chris Noyes will officiate. Evan Trawick, Mathew Trawick, Harrison Trawick, Reid Trawick, David Trawick, and Jonathan Trawick will serve as pallbearers.

Born September 16, 1934 in Bibb County, Georgia to the late Claude M. and Lula Lee B. Trawick, he was a retired US Navy Commander. Mr. Trawick Attended Lanier School in Macon, he graduated from Darlington School for Boys in Rome, Georgia and then graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, where he was also a member of Kappa Alpha Order, and Auburn Golf Team. After his military retirement Mr. Trawick made custom golf clubs at Sea Island Gold Club for 18 years. He had been a resident of Glynn County since 1978, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia G. Trawick.

Survivors include his children, Larry Trawick, Jr. and wife Terri of Lawrenceville, GA, Steve Trawick of Brunswick, David Trawick and wife Allyson, and Reid Trawick and wife Bernadette, all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Cody and Sandra Trawick, Caroline and Forrest Chamberlin, Jonathan Trawick, Brittany and Paul J. Gajda, Harrison Trawick, Mathew Trawick, Emilie Trawick, Evan Trawick, and Andrew Trawick, and a sister Elizabeth Trawick Horne of Marietta, GA.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon November 16, 2017 from 3PM until 5 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick. www.edomillerandsons.com
