Gayle Edward Rogers, 84, of Brunswick departed this life Monday, May 20, 2024 at SGHS Brunswick. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday May 31, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky with interment following in St. James Cemetery.
Born October 19, 1939 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to the late Carl Anthony and Margaret D. Rogers, he was received a BS from Western Kentucky University. He was a retired US Air Force Reserve Captain, and was a retired FBI Agent. He was a member of The American Legion, K of C 4th Degree Knight, Society of Former FBI Agents, POAG, Fraternal Order of Police, NRA, and FBI Agents Association. Mr. Rogers had been a resident of Glynn County since 1968 and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He enjoyed smoking cigars and cold beer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Rogers, a son, Dean Anton Rogers, a brother Clay Dean Rogers, and two sisters, Ann Elizabeth Walters and Mary Lou Todd.
Survivors include his son, Clay Rogers and wife Stacey of Germany, a daughter in law, Daphne Rogers of Brunswick, a grandson, Nicholas Rogers, an extended family member, Paul Creary of Brunswick, his second wife, Lanna P. Rogers of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews.
