Gary “Goober” Sellers, 59, of Brunswick departed this life Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at SGHS Glynn. Born November 21, 1957 in Brunswick to the late Melton and Ann Sellers, he attended Glynn Academy and was the owner and operator of Sellers Garage. “Goober” was a lifelong resident of Glynn County and was a member of Taylors United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, grilling, spending time with his family, and a good conversation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Sellers.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Kelly M. Sellers of Brunswick, three children, Brandon Sellers and wife Kim of Springfield, VA, Dakota Sellers and fiancée Tiffany Devlin, and Savannah Sellers, all of Brunswick, one grandchild, Addison Sellers, three brothers, Jimmy Sellers and wife Lainey, Terry Sellers and wife Cheryl, all of Brunswick, Tommy Sellers of Atlanta, and sister Karen Osburn and husband Kevin of Brunswick, many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Monday, September 18, 2017 at Taylors United Methodist Church with MAJ Cecil Sellers (Retired), Salvation Army, and Rev. Tommy Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Rees Carroll, Jim Gleaton, Joe King, Thomas Miller, Carson Nottingham, Kevin Osburn, and Zach Strickland serving as Pallbearers.
