Mr. Manning was a native and lifelong resident of Brunswick. He was a member of the Brunswick Primitive Baptist Church, a member of Brunswick Lodge #717, F & A.M., a member of the Scottish rite and the York rite.
He loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Harper, a son, Rudy Manning, his parents, Rudolph and Marjorie Manning, and a sister, Deborah Fulford.
Survivors are his wife, Patsy Walker Manning of Brunswick, three daughters, Lara Manning-Pedraza (Tony) of Hinesville, Ga., Heather Manning Pitts (Paul) and Melissa Martinez (Carmelo) both of Brunswick and a sister, Lisa hall of Waynesville, Ga., nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 4 PM Sunday 3/21/10 in the Brunswick Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Craig De Loach and Elder Vernon Eckleberry officiating. His request was for cremation and scattering in the ocean at a later date.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Wade Strickland, Dr. Marsha Certain, CCU Nurses and Respiratory Therapist of St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Staff of Cardiac Cath Lab at the SEGHS, Brunswick, and Members of Brunswick Lodge #717.
The family request contributions to the Brunswick Primitive Baptist Church or the Donor’s choice. The family will receive friends in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Saturday 3/20/10.
