Frederick M. Harden, 80, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2024. Fred was born on December 26, 1943, to the late Ben and Florence Harden. Fred served 4 years in the United States Air Force. After his time in the Air Force, he worked for the 224 JCSS Air National Guard for 27 years, where he worked in Maintenance Control. Fred enjoyed being with his family, had a love for fishing, enjoyed watching sports, especially his Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
Fred was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church for 25 years. He loved spending time with super seniors, in his church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Faye Harden: children, Lisa Miller, Mike (Rhonda) Harden and Danny (Melissa) Harden, all of Brunswick. Grandchildren: Dakota Miller of Columbus, GA, Wesley Harden, Kaycee (Jacob) Owens, Chris Harden, Brett Harden, Natalie Harden and Noah Mann, all of Brunswick; and 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elaine (Vince) Ely, of Phoenix, Arizona and Kathy (Alan) McKay, of Panama; a brother, Jeff (Sherrian) Harden, of Chattanooga, Tennessee
There will be a visitation Monday, February 26, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Service is Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at Bible Baptist Church, 500 Harry Driggers Blvd, Brunswick, GA. Interment following the service at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennville, GA, with Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be, David Dixon, Nick Donnaway, Clayton Edgy, Tommy Lee, Don Perkins, and Al Schmitt. Honorary Pallbearers, Super Seniors.
