Frances was born in Middleton, Tennessee on November 29, 1936. She was the daughter of the late James D. Harris and Anneva Pearl Maxwell Harris. She worked as a sales person for many years and retired in June of 1999. She loved reading her Bible and attending church regularly.
She was a member of Forest View Baptist Church; and was greatly loved by her church family. The night before she passed the church gathered at her room and sang the old church hymns that she dearly loved. She was visited by her sons and was able to talk via telephone and facetime to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Members of the church were at her side along with her Pastor, who is also her son, at the time of death. Deacon Cliff Roberson and wife Elaine stayed by her side with family until she was taken to her heavenly home.
Prior to living in Georgia, she lived in Jackson, Tennessee where she was also loved by her family, friends, and church. She will also be having a service at the Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar, Tennessee. The resting place for earthly remains will be near by.
All her family, friends, and church acquaintances are sincerely grateful that Jesus has relieved her from the health issues and suffering that she dealt with in the last few years of her life. Needless to say; she will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth O. Sheppard, and her brothers James Harris and Bedford Harris.
She is survived by her five sons Jeffery L. Davis, Steven R. Davis, Jody D. Davis, Timothy W. Davis and Alan C. Davis; her thirteen grandchildren Steven R. Davis Jr., Tiffany Davis, Dawn M. Davis, Daniel M. Davis, David A. Davis, Audrey A. Davis, Timothy W. Davis Jr., Charity I. Ragland, Brittany K. Davis, Kasey J. DeGoey, Bailey S. Davis, Samuel A. Davis, and Danica M. Davis; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
