Frances Hall Owens, 93 gained the reward of her heavenly home in the early morning of September 7, 2023. She was born in Brunswick, Georgia, on March 19, 1930 to Leon Wilson Hall and Gladys Thigpen Hall. She was a lifelong resident of Brunswick.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Campbell (Ed) of Macon, Rob, David (Mary), Johnny, Joe (Ann), all of Brunswick, a sister Joy (Jim) of Morristown, Tennessee, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Robert E. “Bobby” Owens, parents, Leon and Gladys Hall, grandson, Jonathan Owens, and great grandchild Madison Brown.
She attended Arco Grammar School, Prep High, and graduated from Glynn Academy in 1948.
Frances always loved working with numbers and worked at First Federal, retiring from SunTrust Bank after many years of service in the Operations Department.
She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church for 67 years and served in many areas of ministry. Over the years, she served as pianist, organist, choir member, and helped in various other roles. Her greatest joy in church service was studying the Bible and teaching Sunday school. She was faithful to the Lord and served by example.
She shared a love of reading and quilting with her daughter and together they have created works of fabric art for each child, grandchild and great grandchild, each stitch full of love and care. Her quilts and wall hangings won several ribbons in the local fair. She, also, enjoyed crossword puzzles. Her hands were never idle, they were always busy doing something. God gifted her with many talents and she wanted to honor Him in all she did.
She loved the family God gave her and spending time with them filled her heart with joy. She prayed for each one by name, wanting them to know and experience the matchless love of the Lord Jesus. She considered her neighbors and dear friends as family members. She simply loved everyone.
The service will be led by her son, Rob, with former Pastors, Ed Hurst, Michael Gibbs and Felix Haymes
