

Mr. Weinberg was born on January 20, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Louis and Lillian Weinberg. After graduating high school, Mr. Weinberg served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A Physical Therapy graduate of the Medical College of Virginia, where he met his wife Elisabeth, Mr. Weinberg served in various capacities professionally, including as Director of Easter Seals Center in Frederick, Maryland, Director of the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Cincinnati, and lastly, serving as the President of Weinberg Rehabilitation Services, Inc., a clinic he ran with his wife, who was also a physical therapist. Mr. Weinberg was active in community service, including a stint as the Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanas in Ohio. He and his wife retired to St. Simons Island, where they have lived for the past 23 years. Mr. Weinberg enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and close friends. He was an avid swimmer, up to age 94. He also enjoyed the arts, such as the ballet, museums and the symphony. He was a member of Temple Beth Tefilloh in Brunswick.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elisabeth, three children, (Pamela, Arthur and Rachel Beauchemin (Tim)), and three grandchildren (Esther, Rebecca, and Sarah). He is also survived by his brother, Irvin Weinberg, and sister, Elaine Blum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Zelda Richards.
A private memorial will be held. Shiva will be held at the family home on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 1-4pm, and Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 3-5pm.
