Don Riddle

Don Riddle, 82, of Darien, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his residence in Darien. Graveside rites will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11Am in Alamo Cemetery, Alamo, Georgia with Pastor Ken Creekmore officiating. The staff of Heartland Hospice will serve as honorary pallbearers. Born June 28, 1932 in Alamo, Georgia to the late Walter C. and Thelma S. Riddle, he was a retired Highway Engineer with Georgia DOT. He had been a resident of Darien since 1980. Mr. Riddle was a member of Alamo Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Allen Riddle. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Juanita M. Riddle of Darien, a daughter, Donna Carter and husband Peter of Brunswick, a son, Mark Riddle of Crescent, three grandchildren, Matthew Carter, Shane Carter and Allyson Grace Riddle, three brothers, Walter Riddle and wife Bonnell of Alamo, Billy Riddle and wife Wanda of Conyers, Wayne Riddle and wife Jane of McRae, and several nieces and nephews.
