Dan Hall

Dan Hall, 84, of Brunswick, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, January 17, 2010 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Critchley officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Jerry Hansen, Larry Clark, Tim Walker, Wesley Walker, Glynn Carroll and John Kalp will serve as pallbearers.

Born January 1, 1927 in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Ernest L. Hall Jr. and Carrie Woodhouse Hall, he was former supervisor with J.C. Penney Co. in the menswear department. Mr. Hall was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and a member of Golden Isles Parkway Church of God in Brunswick. He had also worked at Belk Department Store and Gentlemen’s Outfitters. He had been a resident of Glynn County for 50 years and enjoyed quilting, antiques, and playing the piano at church and nursing home functions. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a son, Freeman Hall and wife Rosa of Bishop, GA, a daughter, Donna Cohen and husband John of Douglas, GA, four grandchildren, Steven Hall, Alison Hall, Brittni Donahue, and Jessica Cohen, and a sister Ruth Burkett of Fitzgerald, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, January 16, 2011 from 4 PM until 6 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. www.edomillerandsons.com
