Charles David Spivey

Mr. Spivey was born in Waycross, Georgia to the late Millie Henderson Spivey and Charles Spivey on May 31, 1946. He graduated from Waycross High School in 1964. He served in the U.S Army, doing a tour in Vietnam in 1967-1968. He was employed by Georgia Power Company for 42 years before retiring.

Along with his parents, Mr. Spivey was preceded in death by his daughter: Treva Leigh Spivey and his brother: Daniel Martin Spivey. Also his paternal grandparents: Orb Spivey and Leona Carter and his maternal grandparents: Paul and Irene Henderson.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Bobbie Spivey of White Oak, Georgia; one daughter and his son in law: Jada and Andy McDevitt of Dallas, Georgia; one son and his daughter in law: Paul and Amanda Spivey of Brunswick; two grandchildren: Clay and Cait McDevitt of Dallas, Georgia.

His graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Waycross, Georgia on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11 AM with Jason Culpepper officiating.
