Carolyn Audrey Taylor, age 70, went into the arms of Jesus at 3:35 pm on Friday, November 7, 2014. Carolyn was born in La Junta, Colorado but moved to Jacksonville as a young child then moved to Brunswick 34 years ago. Carolyn was creative and loved to paint, crochet, cook and make floral arrangements for family and friends. She was a compassionate person and her passion in life was taking care of her family, friends and pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Taylor; her father, Kenneth McIntyre, Sr.; her mother, Audrey Bullock Parker, and a daughter, Sherrie Mistisshen.
She is survived by a son, Aaron Lee Taylor (Tamara) of Burlington, NC; a daughter, Lisa Fletcher (Brad) of Destin, FL; seven grandchildren, Crystal Miller (Eric) of Brunswick; Thomas Taylor who is in the Marines and is currently stationed in New Orleans, LA; Mandy Keach of Brunswick; Garrett Fletcher, Ashley Matyac (Stephen), Carter Fletcher and Dawson Fletcher, all of Destin, FL; two great grandchildren, Payton Miller and Kyana Baker, both of Brunswick; two brothers, Kenneth McIntyre, Jr. (Shelley) of Jacksonville and Michael McIntyre (Charlotte) of Sanderson, FL; son-in-law Michael Mistisshen of Brunswick and her companion and best friend, Steve Griffin of Brunswick. Several nieces, nephews and close family friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Brown officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
