Carolyn Elaine Day-Sykes

Carolyn Day-Sykes, 51, of Brunswick, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Memorial services will be held 11:00AM Thursday in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons with Rev. Phil Harrington and Rev. Matt Howell officiating.

Born May 25, 1958 in Verdun, France to Bobby Gerald Day and Jean Jackson Day she was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1976. Mrs. Sykes also graduated from Valdosta State University and attended Georgetown University and Brunswick Community College. She was employed with South East Georgia Health Systems Island Health Clinic on St. Simons Island. Mrs. Sykes was a member of South Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Gerald Day and a sister, Marolyn Day Teegarden.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Billy Sykes, a daughter, Abby Sykes of Brunswick, her mother, Jean Day and a brother Ted Day and wife Lesley all of Brunswick.
