Callie Jean Baldwin Ogden

Callie Jean Baldwin Ogden, 86, of Darien, departed this life Monday, October 19, 2015 at SGHS in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church in Darien with Rev. Randy Collins and Rev. Chris Ogden officiating. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery with Eric Ogden, Chris Ogden, Brian Gale, Terry Guffey, Mark Heurter, and Adam Ogden serving as pallbearers.

Born April 10, 1929 in Wheeler County, Georgia to the late Neal W. and Ruby S. Baldwin, she was a graduate of Wheeler County High School. A homemaker raising three children, Mrs. Ogden had been a resident of McIntosh County since 1950, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Guffey and Elizabeth Thompson.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Colen Ogden of Darien, three children, Janet Gale and husband Wayne of Sylvania, Michael Allen Ogden , and Karen O. Martin and husband Tony all of Darien, six grandchildren, Brian Gale, Eric Ogden, Chris Ogden, Adam Ogden, Jessica Martin, and Kelsey Martin, five great grandchildren, Shelby Gale, Abagale Ogden, Jacob Ogden, Hayden Ogden, and Haylee Ogden, a brother, Neal Baldwin and wife Carol of Griffin, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 1PM until the funeral hour at Northside Baptist Church in Darien. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
