Brenda Joy Gibson Miller, 67, of Brunswick, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 26th at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 31st from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. with Reverend Darrell Joiner officiating. Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Serving active pallbearers will be Craig Hurley, Norman Blood, William McDonald, Dawson Hickey, Carrie Hurley, Autumn Chesser, and Austin Rhodes.
Mrs. Miller was born August 11, 1948 in Jesup, Georgia, daughter of the late Thomas Lee Gibson, and the late Dorothy Mae Metz Gibson. She has been a resident of Glynn County most of her life. Mrs. Miller is a 1966 class graduate of Glynn Academy, and a graduate of Perry Business College. She was employed by Glynn County Board of Education as a Bus Attendant, and was the co-owner of Strip Eze Furniture Refinishing Company. Mrs. Miller was a member of Christian Renewal Church, and will leave fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Mrs. Miller’s parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Terry Ann Born.
Survivors include her husband John S. Miller, son Kelly Born both of Brunswick, GA; granddaughter Sidney Born of Thomasville, GA; three sisters Linda Blood and Husband Norman of Brunswick, GA, Glenda (Monkey) Eubanks and Husband Harold of Kamas, UT, and Ann Hurley and Husband Craig of Brunswick,GA; Mrs. Miller is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
