Brandie Lee Ann Smith

Brandie Smith, 36, of Brunswick died Friday, August 12, 2011 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Sterling Church of God with Rev. Ray Garner, Rev. Ronnie Clark and Rev. Charles Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Michael Underwood, Jim Myers, Raymond Woods, John Smith, Davy Underwood, Timothy Lane, and Donald Smith, Jr. serving as pallbearers.

Born September 24, 1974 in Brunswick, Georgia to James Eddie and Dian D. Smith, she was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. Ms. Smith was a graduate of Brunswick High Class of 1993, and a member of Sterling Church of God. She was a former employee of The Disney Hilton Head Resort and also was a bookkeeper. She was also an artist and a writer, having won a national award in high school for her writing skills. Ms. Smith was also a very good mother to her children.

Survivors include a daughter Desarae Wood, a son Raymond Wood, her parents, Eddie and Dian Smith, all of Brunswick, a grandchild, Desmond Wood, sisters, Beth Smith, Sara Cano, and Jessica Myers all of Brunswick, a brother, Michael Smith of Arizona, an aunt, Rhonda Owens of Brunswick, fiance’, Daniel Wood, and several nieces and nephews.
