Bonnie Lynch, 76, of Brunswick, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Mallard officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Christopher Scott, Glenn Moore, James Driggers, John T. Gaughf, Lee Boleman, and Si Altman serving as pallbearers. Romie D. Moore, Jack Leggett, Christopher Williams, Stewart Sadler, Jaime Jobe, Price McLain, Mike Chamberlain, Poncho DeLarco, Dr. Herman Levy, Dr.’s Moran and Boswell and members of Southside Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born February 5, 1934 in Brantley County, Georgia to the late Fred and Stella Rowell Herrin, Mrs. Lynch was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1952. During her 55 years of residency here in Brunswick, Bonnie worked with W.T. Grant and Company as an office manager, was affiliated with Skarpalezos Realty and was a Weight Watchers instructor for many years. She was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church and founder of the Lydia Outreach Group. She also served on the church’s flower committee for many years. She was an avid fan of The Atlanta Braves and enjoyed arts and crafts.
Mrs. Lynch, more than anything, loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Janis E. Lynch, a daughter, Vicki Lynch, two grandchildren, Heather Driggers and husband James and Christopher Scott and wife Serena all of Brunswick, a great grandchild, Bradley Gordon Driggers, a sister, Elsie Middleton of St. Simons Island and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy L. Lynch and three sisters, Lauretta Johnson, Grace Schmitz and Madelyn Lewis.
