Bill was born February 28, 1959 in Memphis, TN. The Metcalf family then moved to Baltimore, MD in 1964 for ten years until moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1974. Bill graduated from Terry Parker High School and then attended the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His first engineering job with Concrete Products brought him to St. Simons Island, GA in 1982 where he soon became fond of the coastal life style living. After meeting his wife Angela, he soon started his career with FLETC as a General Engineer specializing in firearms range construction and facility building. He was recognized by many federal and state entities for his knowledge, oversight and construction of firearm ranges for the Homeland Security during his 30 years of service. He truly enjoyed the sport of fishing, boating and golfing with family and friends and is missed by those who were touched by his kind spirit. Thank you for the special memories you created for each of us.
