Bet S. Davis

Mrs. Davis was a native of Douglas, Georgia, but had resided in Brunswick for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Buck and Martha M. Story. She was the wife of the late James Carnell Davis. Mrs. Davis was the co-owner of B & S Clothing Dress Shop for numerous years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Neptune Chapter for over sixty years and a devoted member of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Brunswick, Georgia.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Reverend Don Combs and Reverend Leland Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 Pm, one hour prior to the service time on Wednesday. The interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, Georgia.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her mother and father, Martha M. and Buck Story; her husband, James Carnell Davis. She is survived by her two sons Larry Davis (Wendy) of Brunswick, GA and James Davis (Fran) of Douglas, GA; one brother, Seabron Story (Naomi) of Brunswick, GA; five grandchildren survive. Several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Davis loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. However, her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
