Barbara West Rogers

A lifelong native of Glynn County, was born February 1, 1945 to the late John Wilber West and the late Margaret Evelyn Clancy West. Mrs. Rogers graduated from Glynn Academy, and attended the University of Georgia. She retired from the Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Department, and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Brunswick.

Survivors include her daughter Anna Downey (Al) of St. Simons Island, GA; three grandchildren West, Molly, and Lucy Downey all of St. Simons Island, GA; sister Peggy Rainey of Monroeville, AL; brother Raymond C. West of Fernandina Beach, FL; step-mother Mary Fowler West of Brunswick, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Gerald Rogers, and her parents John West and Margaret West.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 from 5p.m. – 7 p.m. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1105 Union St. Brunswick, Ga with Reverend and Dr. John Law officiating. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery, Darien, Ga. Serving pallbearers are Bill Rainey, Neil Strickland, and Raymond West.
