Kevin, I know that your many associates and friends across our statewide tourism industry have held you and your family in their prayers, and will always be here to support you. May God blanket your family with peace and love during this most difficult time.

We did not know  Annie, but wanted to share our prayers to your family at this time. She looked and sounded like an incredible young lady. We will keep you in our hearts for healing and comfort that only God can give to each of us. Many blessings to your family.

It was the summer of 2015. I came to the US from Israel for the summer camp at JH ranch ("Second Wind"), and met Annie there. She was in a different team than I was (She was in the blue team while i was in the cyan one), but we had a real connection. We first talked in the second day of camp, near the lake. Since then, we were in a really good relations, and laughed a lot. I remember she was kind, charming and funny, and had a great time spent with her. We talked a lot, and we even stayed in touch for a few months after the camp was over.  This summer was the most adventurous and fun summer in my life, and Annie had a part in it. I was in shock when I heard Annie passed away, and I hope she will rest in peace.

Udell family, I am so sorry for your loss, there are no words to take away the pain or make the sense of loss any duller.  At this time I hope you can take comfort in your faith and know that the community has their arms around you.  

I had spanish class with Annie and I’ll never forget how nice she was. She sat in the front of the class and was always laughing and smiling. 9 yrs later and I haven’t forgotten that about her. 

So sorry for your loss of your sweet Annie.

My heart is breaking for Annie, and your family.  Sometimes life throws burdens on us that seem unmanageable to carry.  Your  strong faith will help you through the tough times ahead, and God will help you carry the burden.  I pray for you to find peace.               

     

I had the honor of knowing Annie through my mom’s friendship with Ashley. They were close friends after Ashley moved to Ohio when she was younger. Being born only a few months apart, we became quick friends during friendly reunions. Of my earliest memories was playing with Annie in the courtyard of our old house. I had a oversized plush of Laa-laa from the teletubbies that she adored. We would try to shove laa-laa in one of my toy trucks, needless to say…it never fit. As we got older I  was only able to spend 1-2 weeks out of the summer with her during our vacations to the island. We would eat our weight in hot dogs from the hot dog shack and milkshakes at Zaxby’s, laugh our heads off in the back of the “limo” and spend hours playing in the pool and on the beach. We’d lose our bathing suits in the ocean after hours of body surfing and attempting to boogie board. As we grew older and summer schedules became busier, I’d cherish our numbered hangouts. One of the best memories I have is when we pulled an all nighter writing and acting out an entire movie. I remember it was a high school drama straight out of the mid 2000’s. We filmed it on one of our tiny cellphones at the time and after hours and hours of work had only managed to finish the first 15 minutes haha. As a reward, we slept under the stars on the trampoline that night. Annie you were a bright light, a truly adventurous and free spirit. I will cherish all our memories galavanting around the island. You will forever be the reason I fell in love with St. Simon’s and looked forward to summer vacation. To one of the best childhood friends a gal could ask for and one of kindest individuals. Xoxo 

Sending love and prayers to the sweetest family in this difficult time. Annie was so full of life and always knew how to light up the room with her smile. I’ll never forget watching her grow up when she was in middle school, and all the memories we made on the many Wesley Youth trips, to Sunday nights and everything in between. I found this picture of Annie on our way back home from one of our youth trips and couldn’t think but smile and remember all the fun, laughter, jokes and smiles  she brought to wherever she was and whoever she was with.

Some of my favorite memories with Annie were working at FIVE bar in athens. She was my favorite food runner to work with. She was always a light hearted, made me laugh, and made work feel not like work. We would always go to Sunday night bingo after work, or Thursday night cutters for dollar beers. Or the one time we went rafting, not that I remember much of it but she made sure I didn’t drop all of my belongings into the river.. She was a happy, free spirited, good hearted individual and she will be missed greatly by many. 

I will never forget how serious Emma took her job to try and get Annie any place on time.. what a precious, sweet spirit she always had enjoying every moment never wanting to be rushed 

There are no words to express the deep sorrow I feel since learning of Annie's passing.  Annie was beautiful, both inside and out.  She brought so much sunshine and joy in her 23 years.  My thoughts, prayers and love are with you and your family.  May God's love give you peace during these very tough days.

Annie and I had a few classes together our freshman year at Glynn Academy. I can remember a day when we were in math class and a member of student government was going around to the classrooms selling Krispy Kreme donuts. A few of us contemplated buying some of the tempting treats and by the time we had decided that we in fact absolutely wanted a donut, the kid was already gone! After telling our teacher we had messed up and desperately needed a donut, she graciously agreed to let Annie and I track the salesman down. We quickly walked out of the classroom and down the halls, searching and hoping to find the guy before he sold out. One unsuccessful turn after another, we found ourselves out of class for over 30 minutes and decided the hunt was over and we needed to head back. Just as we were making our way back, what to our longing eyes should appear than the Krispy Kreme box turning the corner, heading right towards us! We were ecstatic, as much as two teens would be over donuts they’d been searching for, and we purchased our lot and headed back to class, licking our fingers as we walked in the door. Our teacher asked us what in the world took so long and we just laughed and filled her in on our adventure. Through the years when we’d bump into each other on campus, we’d joke and ask if the other had found any good donuts lately.  I didn’t have a close and personal relationship with Annie but I have always admired her throughout the years. Annie always did her best to include everyone, no matter their social status. Looking back, Annie’s attitude was a lot like Jesus’ and I have no doubt that when she came face to face with Him, He told her “well done my good and faithful servant.” She was a genuine, kind and caring person who truly was filled with joy over the little things in life, such as a Krispy Kreme donut on a Friday afternoon. I will always remember her fondly and I pray for peace and comfort for her friends and family. 

Sending love from Cincinnati…what beautiful tribute for your sweet Annie. We remember her fondly while she performed w her Uncle Al and cousins at the Christmas celebration for Cancer Free Kids. You’ll forever be in our hearts & prayers.

You never forget who you sat next to on graduation night. Annie was so funny and full of life. Sending prayers for this family! 

Annie was always the kindest and sweetest soul! Working with her was always the highlight of my time at Barrier Island Brewery. We were always talking about modeling, fashion, and music of course! I loved the different types of pants she used to wear to work. I would always joke about borrowing her clothes for photoshoot and stuff, she would always say “Heck yeah! That would be so cute”!!!  I was definitely looking forward to taking a trip to Atlanta and just visiting the city with Annie! Even though it won’t happen, I’ll always live my days as Annie would’ve lived hers….. to the fullest! I love you girly, and we sure do miss you down here!
