In 1939 she married Robert McKinley Barr and they had three children: Eric Andrew (Catherine), Leonore Anne Gualano (Gerald), and Robert Michael Barr (Lynne). Annie and Bob made their home in Columbus, Georgia, teaching at Jordan High School. Later they moved to Jekyll Island and taught in the Brunswick Public Schools (Glynn Academy). Annie was also organist at the Brunswick Presbyterian Church. She later served as the pianist for the Jekyll United Methodist Church and St. Richards Episcopal Church. In 1988, Annie organized the Jekyll Singers which is still active. Annie also loved her work as secretary of the Jekyll United Methodist Church. Annie leaves behind her 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
