Annette Dean Simpson

Annette Dean Simpson, 92, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, August 08, 2014 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 1 PM with Rev. McIlrath officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Palmetto Cemetery. Pallbearers include Slade Beaumier, Tyler Kirsen, David Williford, and Barron Jensen. Honorary pallbearers include the First United Methodist Together Sunday School Class.

Annette was born October 12, 1921 in Brunswick to the late James Randall McQuig and Mary Andrea Knutson. She was a dedicated lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Brunswick and involved in many church activities. She was also a member of the former Elizabeth Circle.

Along with her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her first husband: Eddie Roberts; her second husband: George Dean and her third husband: Louis Simpson. She is also preceded in death by her son: Emory Dean and her grandson: Aaron Dean Jensen.

Survivors include her daughter: Phyllis Dean Madden (Hal) of Brunswick; her son: Edmund Burch Roberts (Deborah) of Atlanta; two grandchildren: Slade Beaumier (Beverly) of Blackshear and Barron Jensen of Brunswick; three nieces: Annette Williford (David) of Darien; Christy Strickland of Darien and Elaine Miculek of Brunswick; she is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
