Ann was born in Dallas, Texas to parents James “Jim” Winton Bramblett and Leila Estelle Orsburn Bramblett. She was a graduate of Greenville High and attended Henderson County Junior College. She married and moved to Macon where she lived for 58 years. She was a member of Riverside Golf and Country Club and Forest Hills Methodist Church. Professionally, Ann worked as a legal secretary for O. Hale Almand, retiring in October of 1998.
Ann loved her family. She enjoyed watching her sons and then grandsons play sports – she was their biggest fan. She loved all sports and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Ann enjoyed being outside. She was an avid golfer and spent a great deal of time working in her flower gardens. She also loved and looked forward to her yearly trips to Hilton Head with her friends. She will be missed.
Ann is survived by two sons, Brett Barron (Dawn) and Scott Barron (Crystal), both of St. Simons; four grandsons, Cole Barron (Natalie), Wesley Barron, Taylor Barron (Laura Anne) and Zach Barron; a great-grandson, Bramblett Barron; a brother, Dr. Marcus Bramblett (Jerry) and five nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Forest Hills Methodist Church with Reverend Baxter Hurley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for contributions in Ann’s memory to be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynn Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
