Angi was born February 18, 1960 in Ahoskie, North Carolina to Jackie Ricks Taylor and the late Tommy Taylor. She has been a resident of Brunswick since 1962. Angi graduated from Brunswick High School, attended Brunswick College, and graduated from Altamaha Technical College with a Certificate in Medical Language Specialist. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Her career included The Tabby House, Atlantic Neon and Camalier and Buckley of Sea Island.
Angi was a small woman with an enormous heart. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. There was nothing she would not do for the people she loved. She was known as a very smart and strong-willed lady.
In addition to Angi’s father, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Burgess, II.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Burgess Ellis and Abigail Taylor; her grandsons , Ethan and Leyland Ellis all of Brunswick, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Jamie Burgess; granddaughters, Brittany and Chelsea Burgess; great grandson, Bentley Jones of Darien, Ga.; mother, Jackie Taylor of Brunswick, Ga; two sisters, Lori Malone (Robby) of Marietta, Ga. and Cindy Hickman of Clearwater, Fl.; and a large extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wright Culpepper officiating and Rev. Don Combs assisting. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the family plot at Palmetto Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Earl Smiley, Kenny Burgess, Sr., Paul Hars, Harold Shadron, Robby Malone and Damian Brackenwagen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pam Herndon, Emelia Stambaugh, Wanda and Jeff Phillips, Connie Kutrufis and Brent Williams, Judy Shadron, Heather Crosby, Robin and Jack Hodge, Dr. Duane Moores.
