Alice Theresa Smith Denton, 91, of Macclenny, Fl, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. A Funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA with the Reverend Peter Vivenzio officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 am until the funeral hour. Formerly of Brunswick, GA, Alice was born to the late Franklin Smith and the late Margaret Fallough Smith. She was a native of Clinch county, GA and had been in Brunswick, GA since 1940, where she was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, she loved being a homemaker and being with her family, and loved studying her Bible.In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her Husband, RB Denton, and a sister Imogene Futch. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Manning (Charles) of El Segundo, CA, and Sharon Wolfe (Finley) of Macclenny, FL; three brothers, William Smith, Gerald Smith, and Nathanial Smith and two sisters, Eleanor Studebaker and Winifred Godbott. Alice also leaves behind five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and many other loving family members. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Alice’s honor to Calvary Baptist Church 3105 Wildwood Dr Brunswick, GA 31520.
